Hi friends,
Wow. What an absolute journey it has been to get to this point, where Evie and Wren Hate Each Other is out in the world.
I spent 2023 working in a library or at home, writing almost every day, knowing that my purpose at that moment in time was to write this story.
I spent 2024 submitting the manuscript to publishers, and in December, I was shortlisted for Hardie Grant’s Ampersand Prize.
I really wanted to put this book into the world and I’ve done that. I’m so proud and whatever happens from here on out, I have accomplished an amazing thing.
Of course, I didn't do this alone. Katherine Larsen from Debut Books was instrumental in me getting to the point where I could submit Evie and Wren with confidence. Working with her was a joy.
My family and friends were supportive and gave excellent feedback which helped me immensely.
